I feel bad for the Canadian fans who lost out on seeing Jane's Addiction for the Spirits on Fire tour. I'm one of those rare people who don't really know Jane's Addiction but I really love OLP so it was a great surprise to see them showing up on tour in Montreal.

I've seen OLP a lot over the years and I have to say that while they did put on a great set, I swear Raine is losing his charm as a singer over the years. Or maybe it's hard to just pick up and jump onto a tour with a few days notice.

Either way, the band was still entertaining and there was even a guy in front of me who was just sitting his ass down for the set but as soon as the band played Mountain Song he jumped up, gave it his all and then sat back down for the rest of the set. So I guess OLP succeeded in impressing the Jane's Addiction fans even if it was just for one song. :-)
